Jamestown High School held its 132nd annual commencement Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the Jamestown Civic Center.

In addition to the “Pomp and Circumstance” processional and the “Fanfare and Recessional,” the JHS Concert Band, under Brandon Bondley, director, performed “New River Overture” by Anne McGinty; “Marche Diabolique” by Brian Balmages; “Variants on a Shaped Note Tune” by Johnnie Vinson and “That Which Binds Us” by Brian Balmages.

Graduating senior Colin Beckstrand delivered the Prayer of Invocation followed by a welcome from Kaitlyn Ripplinger with JHS Principal Adam Gehlhar, Robert Lech, superintendent of Jamestown Public School District and the Jamestown Public School Board present.

The Address was presented by three graduating seniors, Chloe Crabtree, Braden Sherfy and Alexander Bennett. The Benediction was delivered by graduating senior Molly Fritz.

Members of the Jamestown High School Concert Choir including graduating seniors under director Cheryl McIntyre, performed “Child for a Day” a Nicholas Mortenson and Kaitlyn Ripplinger arrangement of a Cat Stevens song, followed by “7 Years” an Andy Dalbol arrangement of a Lukas Graham song.
